Ron Furman was born on March 11, 1979 in Haifa, Israel. He got involved in the film and television industry at the age of seven when he began his career as an actor in numerous theatrical and television productions, which later inspired him to become a filmmaker. Ron’s early films attributed him with instantaneous recognition in his field, which allowed him to gear his creativity towards working on projects that truly mattered to him (Politics, religion, Army, Anti-Semitism, Arab-Israeli conflict etc). After some time being second in command at a notable Canadian production company, Ron had decided to spearhead his own ideas by founding Thorn Films Inc in 2003. Making movies is his passion, but making a difference has always been his ultimate goal. Ron is a graduate of the Hollywood Film Institute in Los Angeles and the Broadcasting & Television Program at Seneca College-York University in Toronto, Canada. Zohar Romm was born on December 15, 1985, in Toronto, Canada. Starring in musical productions from a young age made him consistently put forth an effort to analyzing various entertainment styles and the industry from which they are produced. A conscientious concern with theatre of political and social engagement, Zohar was destined to find his calling in the world of film, where the apex of art and entertainment meet, within storytelling. An emphasis on narrative-nonfiction naturally led him to documentary film making. Co-founding Thorn Films Inc has provided Zohar with a platform from which to launch his movie-making medium; human interest goes hand-in-hand with moral politics to enact real change, from the story ground up. Zohar is an English and Theatre graduate from York University. |
