MON AMIE
Set in the backdrop of late-1940s Canada, Mon Amie is a coming-of-age story about Luke Paskel, a nine-year-old French Canadian immigrant who moves to a small Ukrainian community in the prairies. The only francophone, and smallest in his class, the other children ostracize him.  Utterly alone, Luke develops a fascination for the class outcast, a Ukrainian-Jewish immigrant named Yaakov Melinsky.  Bigger than the others, and viewed with contempt for being Jewish, Yaakov is left in social isolation.  Without a word of understanding between them, an unlikely friendship forms, as Luke and Yaakov tackle the trials and tribulations of childhood, set against the backdrop of small-town life during a demanding decade of global transformation

In the aftermath of Israel’s regional war with Hezbollah in Lebanon, our camera follows two doctors – one Jewish, one Arab, both friends – through their daily routines in one of the Middle East’s most prominent medical facilities, Haifa’s Rambam Hospital. Their shining example of friendship, coupled with their shared outlooks on life in Israel, withstand inherent, innate, and cultural differences between them, demonstrating that peace is not simply a word, but a lifestyle like any other.

THE ART OF COMBAT
 “TAOC” is a one hour documentary style educational television program that focuses on the biomechanical, cultural, sociological and historical aspects of the martial Arts. Almost every culture from around the world has a system of self defense that is deeply rooted in that culture’s history and community. “The Art of Combat” aims to investigate and examine martial arts to a degree never done before on television. It aims to give a perspective on the myriad ways people from around the world have, over hundreds of years, created new ways to take their bodies to the limit in the name of discipline, control and spirit.

THE SEARCH FOR FAITH
Nothing in the history of man has united and divided us like faith. Religion has subdued and created controversy almost perpetually since time immemorial. Both in our society and other areas in the world religious fervor has hit an all time high. And likewise in those same places-an all time low. In this exciting and informative new series we meet an avowed agnostic who, for what every reason has sworn off religion in all its forms. But still, a curiosity lingers: Why do people still cling to faith? And in attempt to gain the ultimate insight into faith our agnostic voluntarily participates in all the faiths of the world, fully immersing himself in the culture, the ritual, the rites, the beliefs in order to see if not only he can understand religion better and than bridge the gap that gulfs us, but also to find his own sense of spirituality.
